The Broadmoor hotel, tucked into the neighborhoods surrounding the base of Cheyenne Mountain, features wilderness activities, restaurants, a spa, game room and more. Through the years, the historic hotel has hosted several famous guests, including former President Barack Obama and former NFL player Peyton Manning. In 2018, it will celebrate its 100th anniversary.
“We didn’t get here without having people of vision who helped found us and people of vision that brought us into the 20th century and now ownership who will carry us very well through the 21st century and beyond,” said Allison Scott, director of communications for The Broadmoor.
Almost 100 years later, The Broadmoor, fully staffed, has 2,800 full- and part-time employee positions and a very diverse staff that, combined, represent 24 different countries, according to Scott.
“What makes us unique is not as much our building, not as much the things we are involved with like Seven Falls and our wilderness projects. Those are parcels of what we are, not who we are. The people who work for us make us who we are,” Scott said. “We are very proud of what we do and we are proud of this community. We hope that shows with everything we are doing. We believe in good stewardship.”
