Musso Farms is a classic Southern Colorado farm family name, so well known for their chili peppers and fresh vegetables that local restaurants even feature Musso Farms peppers and vegetables by name as an ingredient on their menus.
The family-owned business has been operational for five generations and counting.
“We’re just a simple family-run farm that loves it,” said Carl Musso, one of the owners. “I’m the fourth generation and my son Rocky is fifth generation.”
The Musso Farms farmers market features pumpkins, peppers, garlic, tomatoes, watermelons, potatoes, onions, limes, lemons, green beans, spices, flowers and more.
“We do what we do because we love it. We don’t look for any recognition,” Musso said. “We love to grow the stuff and love people to eat the fresh vegetables we grow all summer long.”
Musso Farms is located across from Pueblo County High School on Hillside Road. They also feature a “shop online” option at mussofarmschileroom.com for those who crave their famous chili peppers, but can’t make the drive.
“That’s my reward, to see the people enjoying the fruits of our labor. The people are the real reward for us.”
